Australia Post Theme, UI, or Display Settings – Shopify Australia Post Shipping App with Rates, Labels & Tracking FAQs

Adjust theme and display settings for proper shipping rate visibility

Can I change the "Shipping Method" text displayed on the checkout page?

The "Shipping Method" text is controlled by Shopify, not by the PluginHive app. If you want to change this text, you need to contact Shopify support or check your Shopify theme settings for customization options. The PluginHive MCSL app does not provide the ability to modify this text directly.

How do I edit the display name for carrier services in the PluginHive app?

To edit the display name shown for your carrier services: 1. Go to App Settings. 2. Click on edit carrier services under rates settings 3. Update the Display Name as needed. 4. Click Save to confirm the changes.

Is it possible to let customers choose not to have their parcel left in a safe place during checkout, or customize this field in Shopify checkout?

It is not possible to allow customers to select an option at checkout specifying safe place delivery or to customize the Shopify checkout page for this purpose. The app does not currently support customer-specific options for safe place delivery or delivery signature at checkout.

What do I do if shipping options are not displaying correctly in Shopify?

If you encounter issues where shipping options are not displaying as expected, follow these steps: 1. Check if your account is added successfully in the app. 2. Ensure the carrier-calculated shipping is enabled in Shopify. 3. Cross-check the shipping settings in Shopify. Please contact PluginHive support if the issue persists, along with a screenshot of the error.

What should I do if I made changes to the shipping services but the same options still appear at checkout?

If you have updated your shipping services but the same options continue to appear, try the following steps: 1. Double-check that you have correctly disabled the unwanted shipping methods in the "Edit Carrier Services" section. 2. Ensure you have saved your changes after making adjustments. 3. Clear your browser cache or test the checkout in an incognito/private browsing window to rule out cached data. 4. Refresh your site or log out and back into your admin panel to apply the changes. 5. If the issue persists, try re-testing the shipping calculation by placing a test order to confirm the update. If you continue to experience difficulties, contact PluginHive support with details so they can further assist you.

Where can I enable or disable shipping services, and how can I edit the shipping service names displayed at checkout?

Shipping services can be enabled or disabled, and their display names can be edited within the PluginHive app. To enable or disable services, navigate to the Carrier Services Settings section in the app and toggle the available shipping services according to your requirements. To edit the service names shown at checkout, access the configuration options in the app where you can modify how each service is labeled for your customers.

Why am I only seeing one shipping option at checkout for international shipping, even though all options are enabled in the PluginHive Auspost app?

Australia Post only provides the shipping services that are available for the specific shipping address entered, regardless of how many services you have enabled in the app. At checkout, only the eligible services offered by Australia Post for the destination country will appear. If multiple services like express or standard are available for the address, they will be displayed. Otherwise, only the applicable options will show up.

Why am I seeing three shipping options when processing international mail, and what does it mean?

Seeing three shipping options for international mail typically indicates that multiple services are available to the selected destination. Each option represents a different service level (such as standard, express, or economy) offered by your connected carriers. Customers can choose the option that best meets their needs at checkout. To change this, navigate to AU Post App > App Settings > Rate Settings > Carrier Services > Select your preferred carrier service

Why are only certain postage services showing at checkout even though all are enabled in the Carrier Services settings?

Only the postage services eligible for the specific customer address provided at checkout will be displayed, even if all services are enabled in the Carrier Services Settings. The eligibility is determined by Australia Post based on the shipping address input at the time of the order. There are no additional settings outside of the app to control this behavior. You can cross-check which services are available for a particular address by logging into your Australia Post portal and performing a postage check.

Why are there no shipping options displayed at checkout after disabling DHL for US shipments and only enabling Auspost, with the settings showing "0 services" for Auspost?

If no shipping options are displayed at checkout after disabling other carriers and relying solely on Auspost, and the PluginHive settings show "0 services" for Auspost, consider the following troubleshooting steps: 1. Ensure all required Auspost API credentials are correctly entered in the PluginHive app. 2. Check that shipping zones and methods in your store are assigned to Auspost as a carrier. 3. Confirm that product weight and dimensions are filled in for all shippable products, as this information is necessary for Auspost rate calculation. 4. Make sure that no address or cart parameter is excluding services (e.g., unsupported countries, missing postcodes). 5. Refresh your browser cache or try accessing the checkout in an incognito window, as cached data can sometimes affect rate visibility. 6. After making changes, allow a few moments for changes to sync and retest the checkout. If, after these steps, shipping options still do not appear and the settings continue to show "0 services," ensure that Auspost as a carrier is enabled and configured in the PluginHive app. If the issue persists, contact PluginHive support with relevant screenshots and configuration details for further assistance.

Why does only the Express Australia Post service appear at checkout when I add the "Ultimate Caravan Levelling Ramps – Heavy Duty & Lightweight" product together with another product, instead of both Standard and Express services?

This occurs because the "Ultimate Caravan Levelling Ramps – Heavy Duty & Lightweight" product is in the shipping profile "Ramp," which has both Standard and Express Australia Post services enabled, while the other product (e.g., "Caravan Awning Anti Flap Kit – De Flapper 2 Pack") is in the "General Profile," where only the Express Australia Post service is enabled. When products from different shipping profiles are added to the cart, Shopify only shows the common shipping methods available across all the profiles for those products. Since only Express Post is common between the profiles, only that is displayed at checkout.
