It generates an 11×8.5 PDF file even though in my setting it is 4×6
Does your WooCommerce Canada Post Shipping Plugin with Print Label only prints 11×8.5 PDF label even though the settings are 4×6? In this quick guide, we will help you out.
Customer:
I recently purchased the Canada Post plugin from you guys. I have some problem with it let me know if you can help me fix that.
I have selected to generate the 4×6 labels as I have a thermal printer. Although when I click print label on the WooCommerce order backend it generates a 11×8.5 PDF file even though in my setting it is 4×6.
Support:
The Canada Post provides 4*6 print labels only for contractual customers, so in case if the service type is non-contract it will not print label in 4*6 size.
Hi I called Canada Post technical support and they advised that a contract is not required for 4×6 thermal label printing. As a small business (non-contract) customer I can use the EST Desktop application to print the thermal labels, so it doesn’t make sense to restrict it from the API.
Hi, why is a contract needed for 4×6 label printing?
Hi,
A contract is needed as per Canada Post. This is not a restriction from our side. In order to understand why they have kept it this way, we request you to approach their team. They will surely help.

Naturally, the next question is, would it be possible to remove that restriction from the plugin?
