How to ensure the residential delivery option is determined correctly?

Customer:

I have selected the Residential option, and I am getting the correct rates. I am concerned though the deliveries are not always going to be shipped to residential listings.  How is this going to work in that scenario?


XAdapter Support:

UPS has its own address validation API to judge whether the address is residential or not. Our ‘Residential’ field, when enabled, will indicate to UPS that the ‘Ship to’ address is always residential. We have provided this option to explicitly send the request as residential because many customers requested us to keep this option.

If you have not enabled the ‘Residential’ option, and in case the UPS address validation API fails to judge a residential address correctly, we suggest you to send the request and response to UPS and let them know of the problem.
