I am unable to track an order in the admin panel getting an errors:Fedex Create Shipment Error: Severity: ERROR

One of our customers is unable to track orders in the WooCommerce admin side and is getting the FedEx Create Shipment Error when using the WooCommerce Shipping Plugin for FedEx. Here’s how you solve the issue.

Customer :

I am unable to track an order in the admin panel.
I am getting the following errors:

FedEx Create Shipment Error: Severity: ERROR
Source: prof
Code: 1000
Message: Authentication Failed.

Support :

You need authorization from FedEx while printing label in production mode, that’s why you are getting this error

You need to contact FedEx with the sample label generated using Test Account details

.Please follow Certification Guidelines to get Advanced Services for printing the labels.

Customer :

Isn’t shipment tracking different from printing label?

I am getting an error for shipment tracking.

Support :

The Shipment tracking is different from printing label.

You can track your shipments, only after the label generation.

The Authentication failed error appears only on the order page because you don’t have access to the advanced service( print label in production mode).

So it seems that you clicked on Create shipment and after that when you click on save/show tracking info this error appears because of the cache issue.

We would request you to place a new order and try once again.
