FAQs
- Do I need WooCommerce installed to use this plugin?
Yes, the plugin requires WooCommerce to be installed and active on your WordPress site. It integrates directly with WooCommerce shipping zones, the cart and checkout pages, and the orders dashboard.
- Do I need an Aramex carrier account?
Yes. You need an active Aramex account with API access enabled. During setup, you will enter your Aramex Account Number, Username, Password, and PIN to connect the plugin to the Aramex API.
- Do my products need weight and dimensions to get Aramex rates at checkout?
Yes. Aramex requires product weight and dimensions to calculate shipping rates. Products without these values will not trigger a rate request, so it is important to add weight and dimensions to all shippable products in your WooCommerce catalog.
- Can I use free shipping or flat-rate methods alongside Aramex rates?
Yes. The plugin is compatible with WooCommerce’s built-in shipping methods, including free shipping and flat-rate. You can configure your shipping zones to display Aramex rates alongside or instead of other methods, depending on your requirements.
- Will the plugin display my Aramex account rates at checkout?
Yes. The plugin uses your connected Aramex account credentials when requesting rates, so the prices displayed at checkout reflect your Aramex account pricing rather than published retail rates.
- Does the plugin support both domestic and international Aramex shipments?
The plugin supports all eight Aramex International Express (EXP) services, which are used for both cross-border and same-country express shipments. Return label generation is available specifically for domestic orders — where the origin and destination country match. All eight services can be enabled or disabled independently per shipping zone.
- Can I add insurance to Aramex shipments for high-value products?
Yes. The plugin includes an insurance value field on the WooCommerce product edit screen. The declared value set per product is submitted to Aramex when creating the shipment, covering that item for the specified amount.
- Is the plugin compatible with WooCommerce shipping zones?
Yes. The plugin works with WooCommerce’s built-in shipping zones. You can add Aramex as a shipping method to any zone and configure available services, rate adjustments, and display names independently per zone.
- Can I print Aramex shipping labels directly from WooCommerce?
Yes. The plugin adds a label printing button to each WooCommerce order. Clicking it creates the shipment with Aramex and downloads the label as a PDF directly from the order detail page, without requiring access to the Aramex portal.
- Can I print Aramex labels for orders placed with free or flat-rate shipping?
Yes. Label printing is available for all WooCommerce orders regardless of the shipping method selected at checkout. You can choose the preferred Aramex service on the order detail page and generate the label from there.
- How are Aramex tracking updates sent to my customers?
When a label is generated, the Aramex tracking number is stored on the WooCommerce order and included in the order completion email sent to the customer. The tracking number is also displayed as a clickable link on the order detail screen, pointing to the Aramex tracking portal.
- Can I automate Aramex label generation when an order is placed?
Yes. The plugin includes auto-label generation, configurable from the Labels settings tab. You can choose to trigger automatic package creation and label generation when an order moves to processing status, when payment is completed, or immediately on order placement. Failed automation attempts are flagged on the order for retry on the next status change.
- Can I generate and print Aramex labels for multiple orders at once?
Yes. The plugin adds “Create Aramex Label” and “Print Aramex Label (PDF)” to the bulk actions menu on the WooCommerce orders list. Labels for multiple selected orders are generated and downloaded as a single merged PDF in one action.
- Does the plugin support WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS)?
Yes. The plugin is fully compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS). Both the HPOS-based orders screen and the legacy orders screen are supported, so the plugin works regardless of which order storage mode your store uses.
- What Aramex special services can I enable through the plugin?
The plugin supports six Aramex special services, all configurable from the Special Services settings tab: Cash on Delivery (with a configurable USD conversion rate for the COD amount), Signature Required, Free Domicile/DDP (sender pays all import duties and taxes at the destination), First Available Flight, Noon Delivery, and Hold for Pickup. Signature Required can additionally be applied at the product level to override the global setting for specific items.
- How does the plugin handle customs information for international shipments?
The plugin includes a dedicated International settings tab where you can set default values for HS code, country of origin, and description of goods that apply to all shipments. Each of these can also be overridden per product from the Aramex Shipping Details section on the product edit screen, allowing item-specific customs declarations for products that require them.
- Can I try the plugin before committing to a subscription?
The plugin comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If the plugin does not meet your requirements within the first 30 days of purchase, you can request a full refund.
- Can I use this plugin on more than one WooCommerce store?
Each license covers a single site activation. If you need to use the plugin on multiple WooCommerce stores, a separate license is required for each site.
