Troubleshoot Shopify Australia Post App – Error Codes

In this article, we will explain how you can troubleshoot Shopify Australia Post app. This article contains a detailed explanation about some of the most common error codes you might get while using Australia Post Rates and Labels App.

42012 – PRODUCT_NOT_SUPPORTED_BY_CONTRACT_ERROR

Explanation: The product code you have entered is not available on your contract account for the destination postcode.

How to resolve: Try selecting other products. For assistance, contact your Account Manager or Australia Post support.

43017 – ALL_OR_NONE_SHIPMENT_NO_ERROR

Explanation: The request contains shipments with items that are missing barcode IDs.

How to resolve: Add barcode IDs to the items where the IDs are missing, and resubmit your request.

44002 – ALL_OR_NONE_AUSPOST_ID_ERROR

Explanation: The request contains shipments with items that are missing a tracking identifier field.

How to resolve: Ensure that each item contains values for the fields consignment_id, article_id, and barcode_id, and resubmit your request.

41007 – FROM_POSTCODE_DOES_NOT_MATCH_CONTRACT_ORIGIN_POSTCODE

Explanation: The postcode submitted for the sender “from” address does not match the lodgement postcode in the contract.

How to resolve: Verify the from address and change the sender “from” postcode to match the lodgement postcode in the contract and attempt the request again.

42002 – NO_PRICES_FOR_PRODUCT

Explanation: The service code is not available based upon the information submitted.

43003 – UNABLE_TO_CALCULATE_PRICE

Explanation: The service code is not available based upon the submitted weight of the product(kg).

How to resolve: Verify and adjust the shipment weight.

43004 – UNABLE_TO_CALCULATE_PRICE

Explanation: The service code is not available based upon the calculated cubic weight of the product(kg) for the submitted dimensions and weight.

How to resolve: Verify and adjust the shipment weight and dimensions.

42006 – MAX_WIDTH

Explanation: Maximum width must not exceed 105 cm. Australia Post does not ship packages that exceed a width of 105 cm.

How to resolve: Adjust the shipment width so that it is less than 105 cm.

42007 – MAX_HEIGHT

Explanation: Maximum height must not exceed 105 cm. Australia Post does not ship packages that exceed a height of 105 cm.

How to resolve: Adjust the shipment height so that it is less than 105 cm.

42008 – MAX_LENGTH

Explanation: Maximum length must not exceed 105 cm. Australia Post does not ship packages that exceed a length of 105 cm.

How to resolve: Adjust the shipment length so that it is less than 105 cm.

42009 – MAX_VOLUME

Explanation: Maximum height must not exceed 0.25 m3. Australia Post does not ship packages that exceed a volume of 0.25 m3. Please verify the package dimensions.

How to resolve: Adjust the shipment height so that it is less than 0.25m3.

42010 – MAX_WEiGHT

Explanation: Maximum length must not exceed 10000 kg. Australia Post does not ship packages that exceed a weight of 10000 kg.

How to resolve: Adjust the shipment weight so that it is less than 10000 kg.

When the error is displayed, you can click on “Check” the weight of the product. This will navigate to the products section.

Now, by clicking on the “Edit” option, you can adjust the weight of the product to less than 1000kg.

42011 – TWO_DIMENSIONS_LESS_THAN_5CM

Explanation: At least 2 dimensions must be 5 cm.

How to resolve: Verify that at least 2 dimensions of the shipment must be 5 cm.

44010 – MAX_LENGTH_MERCHANT_REFERENCE_TEXT

Explanation: A value for merchant reference exceeds the maximum limit of 50 characters.

How to resolve: Reduce the length of the value and submit the request again.

44003 – DANGEROUS_GOODS_NOT_SUPPORTED_BY_PRODUCT_ERROR

Explanation: The product code specified in an item has indicated that dangerous goods will be included in the parcel, however, the product does not allow dangerous goods to be sent using the service.

How to resolve: Choose a product that allows dangerous goods to be included within the parcel to be sent.

43009 – MAX_LENGTH_CUSTOMER_REFERENCE_TEXT

Explanation: A value for customer reference 1 or 2 exceeds the maximum limit of 50 characters.

How to resolve: Reduce the length of the value and submit the request again.

43011 – MAX_LENGTH_DELIVERY_INSTRUCTION

Explanation: A value for delivery instructions exceeds the maximum limit of 128 characters.

How to resolve: Reduce the length of the value and submit the request again.

43008 – MAX_LENGTH_DESTINATION_BUSINESS_NAME

Explanation: The shipment with reference number includes a business name for the “to” address that exceeds the maximum limit of 50 characters.

How to resolve: Change the business name to have less than 50 characters and submit the request again.

40002 – JSON_MANDATORY_FIELD_MISSING

Explanation: The input request is missing the mandatory field with the name ‘FIELD NAME’.

How to resolve: Please resubmit the request including the required fields and values.

44043 – ITEM_DIMENSION_WEIGHT_NOT_APPLICABLE_ERROR

Explanation: The product is a flat-rate product and must not include weight or dimensions.

80002 – INVALID_OPTION_COMBINATION

Explanation: The combination of authority to leave, partial delivery allowed and safe drop enabled are not valid for the product.

How to resolve: Please enter valid values for these fields. If you need assistance, please contact your Account Manager, or Australia Post support.

400 – INVALID_PRINT_AT_DEPOT_PRODUCT

Explanation: Print at Depot is not available for this product. Startrack EXP, PRM and FPP products are supported.

400 – INVALID_PRINT_AT_DEPOT_MOVEMENT_TYPE

Explanation: Print at Depot is not available for this movement type. Movement type can be either RETURN or TRANSFER.

400 – SUBURB_STATE_POSTCODE_DOESN’T_MATCH

Explanation: Mismatch in provided sender/recipient address. Your combination of Suburb, State and Postcode don’t match.

How to resolve: Verify sender/destination address and make sure that combination of Suburb, State and Postcode is correct.

When you click on the “Verify” sender/recipient address, it will navigate to the “Locations” section of the Australia Post Rates and Labels app.

Make sure that the required address is set as default. Click on “Update Address” to change or update the locations.
