Upon successful registration, the UPS team will send you a confirmation email that includes your account details. You will receive a PIN, which you will use to add your account to your ups.com profile, giving you the ability to pay bills online and manage your account settings.
Once you have a free UPS account linked to your PluginHive Shopify Shipping App, you can start shipping your products at discounted rates. To further improve your experience with UPS, we recommend focusing on two key aspects of your shipping journey: Billing and Claims.
For billing, UPS has implemented a new solution through ups.com called the UPS Billing Center. This self-serve portal enables customers to view, analyze, pay, and dispute their UPS invoices. Customers that have had their account opened via PluginHive can self-enroll for Billing Center with the following steps:
- Go to UPS.com
- Select “View and Pay Bill” from the “My Profile” menu
- Select “UPS Billing Centre” from the “Tools and Resources” menu
- Select “Enrol in the UPS Billing Centre” and follow the instructions
- The UPS.com ID you just created grants you access to applications on UPS.com, including the UPS Billing Centre
To enroll, the customer will need to go through invoice verification using an invoice no older than 45 days. Check out this YouTube video to learn more about the “UPS Billing Center” and the value it brings.
For claims, we recommend that you know what to do in case of any issues that may arise. Here is a link to the ups.com UK page where this topic is explained: “File a Claim | UPS – United Kingdom“
*You can find the same information on your country’s ups.com page by selecting your country and language.
Setting up the app
In the app, select the preferred UPS shipping services to display to customers during checkout. Your customers will then be able to view the shipping rates, as shown in the picture below, once they have made their selection.
To print a shipping label:
1. Go to the “order(s)” page
2. Select the order for which you want to print the label

Once the order is marked as shipped, the app sends an email with tracking information to the customer, including updates on the status of “In-Transit,” “Out for Delivery,” and “Delivered.” A sample email displaying tracking details is shown below.
