pluginhive support

The WooCommerce Shipping Plugin for FedEx with Print Label allows you to print the shipping label and generate the commercial invoice for your international shipments. Here’s how you configure it in the plugin.

Customer:

I have a problem printing FedEx labels and the commercial invoice, I have updated the plugin but still face the same problem.

PluginHive Support:

You have not configured any boxes even though you have selected parcel packing as “Pack into boxes with weights and dimensions“. This is the reason for your error.

We request you to go through the explanation along with the article to understand Parcel packing :

  • Pack Items Individually: In this option, each item in the cart is packed separately. The total Shipping cost is calculated by adding the shipping cost of each item.
For example, The shipping cost of item X is $10. If the customer adds two quantities of item X to the cart, then the total shipping cost is $10 x  2, which is $20.
  • Pack into boxes with weight and dimensions: If packing items individually does not suit your business, then you can define the required box sizes under Box Dimensions section. All the cart items are packed into custom boxes defined in the box dimensions settings. The best-fit box is auto-chosen from the defined boxes. This is the recommended option.
  • Weight-based: In this option, the weight of all the cart items is summed up and passed to FedEx API to get rates.

Once you have understood the box packing method, kindly create a new box so that you can pack the items into one or more boxes.
