Now use WooCommerce Shipment Tracking Pro with Shipping Easy
For many good reasons, Shipping Easy seems to be the perfect choice for many store owners. One of their highlights is the seamless automation capability which sets it apart from any other shipping solution. What’s great is that Shipping Easy can be integrated with a number of shipping carriers like UPS, FedEx, etc, and also with eCommerce platforms like BigCommerce and WooCommerce.
Many WooCommerce users, for instance, use it to auto-download the order details and quickly print the discounted shipping labels for their orders. Another great thing is that store owners can also sync order tracking numbers and status updates. So, using the Shipment Tracking Pro plugin with shipping easy seems to be the perfect solution for them. This integration can help them automatically share the order tracking details with their customers.
How does Shipment Tracking Pro work?
The basic idea of this plugin is to help you share the tracking details with your customers via emails. Once you enter the tracking data and mark the order as completed, the plugin transfers the tracking information to WooCommerce. And then, WooCommerce triggers an order completion email to the customer along with the entered tracking details. The email also contains the Tracking ID(with link), Carrier name and the shipping date.
And if you have multiple orders to update, then you can create a CSV file and upload all the tracking details there. As soon as you upload the CSV file, the orders will be automatically marked as Completed and the order completion emails will be sent to the customers.
How does this integration help Shipping Easy users?
In order to use Shipping Easy with Shipment Tracking Pro, all you need to do is enable the Shipping Easy option in the plugin settings. The image below shows where you can find the option to enable the integration.
So, when you sync the orders with Shipping Easy, the Shipment Tracking Pro plugin fetches the order tracking ID(s) from the ShippingEasy and attaches it to the respective order. You would find the tracking ID on the Edit order page and would look something like the following:
Here is where the plugin automates the entire process. Once your orders are in sync, the Shipment Tracking Pro plugin automatically marks the order as ‘Completed‘ and updates the tracking information on the order page as well(check above image).
In the meantime, the plugin automatically adds the tracking information to the generated Order completion email which is sent by WooCommerce to the customer when an order is Completed. And interestingly, this entire process happens in just a couple of seconds.
Just so you know, the email will contain the necessary tracking details along with the Tracking ID(with link), Shipped Date, and the Service Name. And in addition to this feature, the tracking information will also be shown on the My Accounts page under each order. This way customers can also track their shipments here.
But in spite of that, there’s another way of adding tracking details to the orders, though it’s rather time-consuming so you should follow this process only if important –
As you might already know, Shipping Easy automatically sends the tracking information to WooCommerce once the label/tracking number is generated. This information is placed under the Order Notes section as shown below.
Adding the tracking information via Order Notes can be useful in urgent situations. For instance, assume that for some reason the courier company had to cancel the shipment. Since you were on a deadline, you had to contact another shipping carrier in order to ship the order. In this case, you can add the tracking details from the new carrier and manually update the tracking details in the Order Notes, and eventually meet your deadline.
The WooCommerce Shipment Tracking Pro is the way to go when it comes to simplifying your orders for shipment and send tracking details to your customers. And now with this compatibility, order completion with minimum effort doesn’t seem to be that difficult of a job. What’s surprising is that the overall process hardly takes any time, and it is convenient for you and your customers as well.
